Exterior:
Yeah as usual lets start from the front side of the beauty. The front side design is really fresh to the Indian market so it is kind of new and attractive. The overall look is kind of squared out, with a square shape in every elements. The front-end is a bit chrome friendly with the logo spreading out to both ends. There is a split up headlamps and square chrome elements on the front grille along with a big air dam. In the hood too we can see two square element which is pretty attractive as a love towards the square shape. The fog lamps are placed on the bottom end of the front grille the issue is that it may affect the visibility during the foggy rides. The square elements on the front grille are really nice. The front view is altogether a new and fresh one in the Indian market as said earlier and it is really catchy. Now, jumping to the side profile of the C5 it is totally a bold styling with that massive 18 inch alloy wheels with a striking dual tone pattern and the square imprintson the bottom line of the car. Hmm I think the designer is a square lover. The side profile is pretty neat apart from the little bulgy line placed on the centre on the bottom line. And the bold black wheel arches makes this car feel rugged. The black cladding is just covering the bottom part around the car. There is a chrome strip covering the C pillar and the shoulder line. The chrome strip is going all the way to the roof and is given a break on the B pillar and there we can see the roof rails makes the car more adventurous explorer. And that is all about the side profile. A muscular and elegant design which is really eye striking. Now coming to the rear end it is all about a rounded square the tail lamps which is split on the boot portion is having four rounded square and there is a Citroen logo on the middle portion of the boot. And there is a chrome badging on bottom the right side.The boot door is all electric, which is not a big feature in these days. Now the conclusion about exterior design of the Citroen C5 is that I have said above. This is something fresh to the Indian auto mobile market. The introduction of C5 may refresh the market because by the way it looks this design is really catchy and gives massive road presence which is a must required factor now a days.
Interior:
Now hopping into the new Citroen C5, the squareness on the exterior has reflected on the interior too. There is square everywhere. We can see a squarish round steering wheel with a Citroen logo on it. The steering wheel also consist of all the controls of the infotainment system and cruise control. There is a piano black finish on the steering wheel which is giving a premium feel. Sitting into the seat of the C5 makes you feel pushed and comfortable. The front seats are filled with high density foam to make it more comfortable ride. The instrument cluster is well designed and is very practical. Then coming to the central console we can see more squares and it is given more premium feel with the piano black finish on the borders of the AC vents. There is a well placed 8 inch infotainment system which is really elegant and practical. The graphical quality is really nice. There is also the climate control button which feel really premium. Coming down to the central console we can see a wireless changing dock and many little storage spaces. There is an 8 speed automatic gearbox which is elegantly placed on the central console. There is a cup holder and another storage space in the central console which is also the armrest. Now jumping to the rear seat there it feels so spacious and wide. There is enough leg room and head room and the middle seat is really comfortable as compared to other cars.But the only issue with it is that the seat belt buckle is really irritating the seating. The material is really comfy and the overall looks good. The interior is put together well and elegant. The premium feel is not missed. There is a boot space of 580 litres which is goo for long rides and holiday trips. After all the French auto-maker gives more importance to the comfortable ride and the comfort of the costumer. This beauty gives a comfy ride with massive road presence as said above.Heart:
Now lets get a peek at the sweet Heart of the French lady. This baby is powered with a DW10FC 1997 CC 4 cylinder Diesel engine and is mated with an 8 speed automatic transmission. This could kick your adrenaline to rush if you slam on your Gas pedal. The power Boost with a power output of 174 BHP and a torque delivery of 400 NM this beast is gonna give you goosebumps while driving without compromising the comfort level.
Final verdict:
So simply coming to the conclusion about the new Citroen C5 Air-cross this model is pretty capable of creating a sensation in the Indian market with new design philosophy and new design the French baby is capable to rock on the ground and the pricing should not be above 28L but as the prices are announced as the base variant itself costs 28L and the top variant costs 30L. Personally I think it is a bit overpriced but you should really pay for the comfortable ride on the middle back seat and after all it is a French beauty. Lets wait and see her on the road.
